WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
The French Translator is responsible for the translation of various eCommerce and product content, and other internal and external marketing and communication projects, as required.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Translate eCommerce projects, including hotel and product information available online.
• Assist in the translation of various communication tools such as brochures, flyers, newspaper and magazine advertisements, newsletters, press releases, and web content such as static pages, blogs, and social media, as needed.
• Translate ad-hoc requests from other departments (HR, Finance, IT, etc.)
• Participate in the translation of marketing projects and promotional campaigns, as needed.
• Prioritize requests and translate documents from English to French.
• Ensure the quality and accuracy of translations as well as their compliance with Quebec's language laws.
• Ensure that the content reflects the brand image.
WHAT YOU BRING TO THE TEAM
KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS REQUIRED:
• Bachelor’s degree in Translation, French Literature, Linguistics, Journalism, or related field/experience
• Perfectly fluent in French and English (reading, writing, and speaking)
• Between 2 to 3 years experience as a translator
• Strong organizational skills and ability to meet tight deadlines
• Efficient and very detail-oriented, demonstrating initiative, flexibility and great accuracy
• Ability to adapt quickly, work independently and multi-task
• Good working knowledge of Microsoft Office
